In one of my prophetic encounters, I saw a golden cross standing on the hill with a crown of thorns on it. As I looked closely, it turned into a very bright light. As I continued to look, wondering what this could mean, lo and behold, I saw multitudes of people with crowns upon their heads gravitating towards it. I heard them singing joyfully with their hands lifted towards heaven.
When I sought to know the meaning of this vision, the Spirit of the LORD said to me “what you saw is God’s redemptive plan for the people of the world”. Furthermore, he said,”my redemptive plan is sacrosanct. The multitudes of people you saw with crowns on their heads are the redeemed of the LORD from all nations, tribes, tongues and families on earth. The crown on their heads is God’s gift of eternal life onto them”.
What we see here is God’s master plan of salvation for mankind. Before the fall of man in Eden, God had already conceived His eternal plan for man’s redemption. The crucifixion of Jesus, the son of God on the cross of Calvary is the consummation of God’s redemptive plan.
The implication of the death of Christ on the cross is that God has paid the supreme price for man’s redemption (John 1:29; 1 Cor. 5:7). Salvation from sin and its eternal consequences is now available and accessible through the mandatory death of Christ. It was by His substitutionary death that Christ has become the author of our salvation (John 3: 14-15; John12:32; Luke 23:33; 1 Cor. 5:7; Hebrews 5:9).
From the vision of the golden cross, we see that God has provisionally offered all men salvation through Jesus, the saviour. The gospel of Jesus is God’s saving power to all that believe in Him (Romans 1:16). Jesus is drawing all men to Himself by the power of His cross right now. Men in all nations are streaming to Him. The walls of partition between God and the lost humanity had been pulled down. The bright light which emanates from the cross, being the light of the gospel of Jesus is shining, in the darkness of this world. The supernatural light of the gospel is now available and it is shining upon those who sit in spiritual darkness and in the valley of eternal death (Matt. 4:13-16; 2 Cor. 4:6).

A Great Restoration!
We are in the last days of this sinful world. The happenings in the world suggest that the end is here with us. The rising waves of heinous crimes against God and humanity in our societies are clear indications that the end of all things is nearer than we anticipate. As a matter of fact, evil days are upon us! We are helpless and hopeless under crushing yokes of some kinds of slavery at the moment.
As ugly and bad the pictures painted may appear, coming soon is a well divinely packaged restoration; times of refreshing from the presence of the LORD. The coming of Jesus as the saviour and redeemer marked the beginning of restoration of God’s eternal purpose on earth. Note that the fall of man in Eden was a truncation of God’s original intention for the creation of man and the entire universe.
The restoration of all things that had been lost to the devil as a result of man’s fatal fall in Eden remains God’s eternal agenda and pursuit until now (Gen. 3:14-15). Jesus Christ came to save the lost (Luke 19:10; Matt. 1:20-21; Luke 2:10-11; Act 4:12). Spiritual death being the wages of sin was the immediate consequence of man’s rebellion in Eden, but the coming of Jesus was to provide a remedy for sin and its damning consequences (Romans 6:23).
